Careers in Information Technology

Webmaster

  • A webmaster is a person who manages one or lots of websites or businessperson who sells products or services by using online media.
  • Make sure the web servers, hardware and sofware are working accurately.
  • A designer for websites to generate websites and reply comment to users.
  • Must be alertative in Web transaction programme, billing software and security software.
  • Covers technical aspect of Web site construction, maintainance, advertising , marketing and order satisfaction.


Computer Support Specialist

  • Known as helpdesk technicians.
  • Provide assistance to users by sorting out  hardware and software problems.
  • Include developing new software functionalities and ensuring the computers are functioning smoothly.
  • Work for 45 hours and may be required to work on weekends if in need, the time in work is separated into the time spent troubleshooting the customer problems on call.
  • Installing printers, softwares and other computer tools.
  • Write instruction books for imparting users how it works.
  • Needed to be good listeners and excellent at solving problems.




Technical Writer

  • A professional writer who decorates, creates, and maintains technical documentations- online helps, user guides, white papers ,design specifications, system manuals and other documents.
  • May have skills in information design, information architecture, training material development, illutration and typography.
  • Writing used in fields as diverse as computer hardware and software, engineering, chemistry, the aerospace industry, robotics, finance, consumer electronics, and biotechnology.
  • Technical writers explain technology and related ideas to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • generates manuals that go with the system.




Software Engineer

  • Can be called software programmer or developer.
  • An engineer who applies the rules or things of this software to design, development,testing and systems which make computers or anything containing software such as computer chips, work.
  • Concerned in development and maintance software systems which behave reliably and efficiently.
  • Affordable to fulfill all the orders that users have defined for them.




Network Administrator



  • A person responsible and take care of the maintenance of computer hardware and software that connects a computer network.
  • Includes deploying, configuring,preventing and arranging in activation network equipment.
  • Focus on the integrity of networks , server apartment, security and make sure network connectivity though a company.
  • Maintaining of specific servers like file servers, VPNgateways, intrusion detection systems and others.


Database Administrator

  • A person do the designs, implementation, maintenance and repair of an organization's database.
  • Developing and designning of database stategies, monitoring and thriving database performance and ability, and organising for coming expansion requirements.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and implement security protections to guardian the database.
  • Required people skills or characteristics such as strong arranging skills, rational and analytical thinker, ability of concentrating to details, sophisticated wrriten and interaction skills and willingin learning throughout your career.



System Analyst




  • Researches problems, finds solutions, introduces software and systems, and develops to meet business or others.
  • Able to do with some types of programming languages, managing systems, and computer hardware platforms.
  • A system analyst is the communicator between sellers and information technology professionals.
  • Responsible for developing cost explanation, design considerations, and time-lining of implementation.


Programmer


  • Is a coder who writes computer software or generate code for many kinds of software.
  • Know computer lauguage to work in a web enviroment.
  • Programmer writes, tests and maintains the details of instruction.
  • Solving problem by conceiving, designing and testing reasonable stuctures.
